China has built the world's largest carrier

With the continuous improvement of its overall national strength, China is now able to build large military ships such as aircraft carriers and 10,000-ton destroyers. But beyond the warships that everyone is looking at, China has also achieved a lot in the field of civilian shipbuilding. Not long ago, China built one of the world's largest container carriers. The true maritime behemoth is 100 meters longer than an aircraft carrier and has a capacity of 24,100 TEU, marking another major breakthrough in the construction of oversized container ships by China. In the field of maritime transport, the most popular are container ships and bulk cement tankers. Because compared with different oil tankers, container ships tend to have larger tonnage, transport tens of thousands of containers of goods at a time, in the field of international trade transport is more efficient, more affordable, which is far beyond the reach of ordinary cargo ships. As a result, the world's maritime powers have their own large container ships and have been striving for greater tonnage and capacity. So, what are the characteristics of this container ship built by China? The ship was designed by Hudong Zhonghua Shipbuilding Company with completely independent intellectual property rights. It is currently the largest container ship in the world, with the largest deadweight tonnage. The ship is 399.99 meters tall, 61.5 meters wide and 33.2 meters deep. It uses the world's most advanced technology such as environmental protection, energy saving, high efficiency and safety owned by Hudong Zhonghua, equipped with a mixed scrubber desulfurization device, and uses a streamlined spherical bow, large diameter propeller and energy-saving air duct design, with the advantages of speed, low energy consumption, and various performance indicators have reached the international advanced level. The giant container ship is also the first product to be built after upgrading the No.1 dock of Changxing Shipbuilding Base. In order to adapt to the global trend of large-scale construction of large container ships, Hudongzhonghua has decided to extend the length of Dock 1 from 520 meters to 660 meters to meet the requirement of 24,000 TEU container ships. Thus, it can achieve the annual production target of 5 to 6 extremely large container ships and meet the current order requirement of receiving a new ship every 2 months. We will increase the speed and efficiency of construction across the board. At present, Changxing Shipbuilding Base has become China's busiest large-scale container ship professional production facility. The current 24,000 teU container ship is part of China's plan to modernize Marine transportation. At present, China is the world's largest trade exporter, with the largest annual container shipping orders, export trade transportation is very busy. For maritime trade, the higher the load of a ship, the more competitive and advantageous position in the international market. Because of this, in order to meet the shipping demand, China needs to be able to independently large-scale construction of extremely large container ships and own its own extremely large container ships. Due to the impact of COVID-19 in recent years, the global shipbuilding market has been highly depressed, which makes the international competition in the super large container ship market particularly fierce. The construction of the current 24000TEU container ship has further consolidated the market position of China State Shipbuilding Corporation's super large container ships, enhanced China's brand effect in the super large container ship market, and laid a solid foundation for expanding the market share of super large container ships in the future. In the near future, China will continue to make current world-class breakthroughs in the shipping industry, firmly hold the world's leading position, and facilitate the booming development of China's maritime trade.
